It has come to my attention that the
AKC position statement of
the MSBSRC is no longer 100% accurate. In the recent past when
that statement was written, the BSCBAA had hosted and sponsored several conformation and
weight pulling "sporting" events. Several of their
members (including current members) participated and promoted these events.
This included posting a weight pulling video on their site. I am pleased that the
BSCBAA is no longer promoting or endorsing the cruel practice of weight pulling
events.
Because of this, please disregard the two lines
that refer to weight pulling from the
MSBSRC statement and read the registry positions
from the
following Boykin Spaniel Clubs:
Carolina Boykin Spaniel Retriever Club
Dang
Yankee Boykin Spaniel Club
Over the Mountain
Boykins does not support the AKC, the AKC Parent Club, or dog shows.
Do not apply for a puppy if you intend to register with the AKC
